My thanks to all of the wonderful parents and swimmers over the years that my son was on the Y swim team. I enjoyed meeting all of you.

The computer which ran the software I used for the last several large meets, including the March 2008 YMCA IL/MO Area Finals, has died and I no longer have a suitable machine to run that program. Consequently, images from past events are no longer available. Please accept my apologies.

Though I always tried to run a professional operation, Art Zemon Photography was only a hobby for me. I am just a father who took pictures of his son at the Y and then started taking pictures of other kids on the team. Art Zemon Photography grew from there.

The death knell was a decision by the Dekalb County Swim Team parent board to stiff me for $1600. The board contacted me on March 4, 2008 and asked me to photograph the area finals meet. I agreed, though the meet was only ten days away and I was unable, in that short time, to properly staff the event. In the end, I lost $1600 that weekend, money out of my own pocket, so that the DCST could have photographers at their event. Though I asked the DCST parent board to reimburse me for my actual costs (hotel rooms, equipment rental, salaries for hired help), they declined any assistance. This decision was communicated to me by Danielle Schultz schultzfest@juno.com, DCST parent board president.

I am sorry but, already being out $1600, I am not going to spend more money to replace the dead computer.
